Description
Description:
The RipTide Canon APS Bushings are designed for trucks that feature a slightly larger bushing seat. The Canon performs similar to the Barrel bushing by providing a more linear compression feel and producing a stable feel under foot at higher speeds. The Canon maintains a stable and predictable lean with a solid level of rebound to set your trucks back to centerline.
Best Combo:
Try combining Canon APS Bushings with Magnum APS Bushings. This application is ideal for faster downhill and freeriding as this combination adds stability at higher speeds and more "cushy" for control of leans and slides.
Tuning:
When tuning your Canon APS Bushings, RipTide recommends tightening to the point where it is difficult to turn the bushing in the bushing seat by hand. Use a flat washer to lower resistance and a cupped washer for higher resistance. The APS does not change much when you tighten the kingpin nut past snug.
Application:
The Canon APS Bushing measures .60" tall with a slightly larger bushing foot making them perfect for trucks that feature a slightly larger bushing seat such as Paris, Caliber, Kahalani Cast, Gullwing Charger 2 (Boardside).
Animated Polymer System (APS):
RipTide describes their APS Formula as follows: "As the name implies, this compound is very lively and offers higher rebound with lots of control and lean. For the same durometer, the APS will turn 10% to 15% more than the same durometer of other brands." This formula produces a very stable feel near centerpoint yet requires very little lean effort to produce desired turns.
